Share the Joy & Hope of Jesus This Christmas!

Toys and Essentials is all about sharing the joy and hope of Jesus through meeting a practical need. Your generosity and time is what makes this a possibility! 

One of our favorite Christmas traditions as a church is hosting a Toy Store for families in need in our community. We will be gathering Toys and Essentials to ease the financial burden and share the joy of Jesus. Start planning now to buy some extra household supplies like laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, or toiletries the next time you are buying for your family. Pick out a few of your favorite toys that will bring laughter and fun to a child this Christmas! Thursday December 19th - NorthPointe Milburn Campus—Worship Center 

Schedule: 

• 4:00-5:00–Set up and Prep
• 5:00-5:30–Volunteers Gather—Final Instructions, Prep and Prayer! 
• 5:30–8:00–Parents Shop! (Families have signed up for a time slot online so they will show up spaced out throughout the night.)
• 8:00-8:30–Wrap up Event and finish connections with families still around 
• 8:30-9:00–Clean Up 

If you can only come for part of the event, we still would love your help! Here are some of the different areas we will need people to serve—so be thinking about what you would like to do! 

Also, we will have a delicious dinner for people who want to stay to eat and connect! All of the meals will be covered by the church and we would love for you to grab dinner as well! Depending on where you are serving, try to get dinner at the same time as a family so you can have conversation together while you eat! 

Volunteer Teams: 

• Greeters—help welcome and check in the families as they arrive. Enjoy conversations with people while they wait for their turn to shop. 
• Table Hosts—we will need 1-2 people at each table of toys making sure the display of toys looks great and taking people’s tickets from them once they purchase
• Personal Shoppers—walk with a parent/family, build connection through conversation, offer to walk them over to Enough Clothing Closet 
• Kids Activities—some families will come with their children and we want to be ready to provide a great time for them while their parents shop! Help host crafts or small games for the kids to enjoy!
• Set up/Tear Down—Opportunities before/ after and during the event! Move the toys, clear boxes, move tables, clear trash, etc!
